Nick Rogers from DB Breweries took us on a lively journey through some of New Zealand’s most loved beer brands.

He shared how Tui grew from a small Wairarapa label into an iconic national brand, driven by a simple strategy, a passionate team, and a clear sense of personality. Through clever, authentic experiential marketing, the team built a strong emotional connection with drinkers — loyalty that ultimately translated into real business growth.

He also walked us through the revitalisation of Monteith’s, one of the country’s oldest craft breweries and a true West Coast landmark. His team reshaped the Monteith’s Brewery Experience into a destination that draws visitors into Greymouth, supporting both the brand and the local community.

More recently, Nick turned his focus to the rising microcraft segment, helping grow Wellington’s Black Dog Brew Co. into a standout player on the national stage.
